Sustainability and ethical consumption is something every buyer should keep in mind when choosing where to spend their money. Check out these sustainable brands that have cute styles while still being conscious of their production chain!
1. Girlfriend Collective
Maybe I’m biased because they’re also based out of Seattle, but their workout clothing is TOP NOTCH. The price point is on par maybe even a little cheaper than their competitors and the quality of their items is above the pact.
They have size inclusive items going up to 6XL (holla!) and the items are truly flattering for different body types. They also have a very generous reward program where you can get discounts on future purchases for doing things like posting photos of you cleaning up at your park in their clothing. Pretty cool if you ask me. All their items are ethically and sustainably sourced!
I love these shoes! So simple and chic, making them super versatile. Which in turn makes it so you do not have to buy as many pairs of shoes, better for the environment and your wallet!
Their sneakers are made of organic fair-trade materials. They have many styles too including running shoes. They are definitely gaining traction too, they are being carried at Madewell, Anthropologie, and Nordstrom. I prefer Nordstrom because of their generous return policy, but you can always buy from their main website as well!
Just a note; they are a little uncomfortable in the beginning but I promise it gets better!
Of course Everlane is on this list. Hands down, one of my favorite sustainable brands. I think about 75% of the clothing I have bought in the past year are from them. What can I say, their clothing is good quality, fits FANTASTIC, and is a great price (for sustainable fashion).
All of their products are sustainably made and they have transparent pricing at the bottom of each of their products that explains their price point. They have an amazing sale section too where you can get a ton of bargains!
Make sure to pay attention to their size guide to avoid returns, from my experience it is very accurate but their stuff does run true to size!
Through their production they hope to provide people in developing countries a living wage so that they are ABLE to survive on their own without the need for their economy to depend on charity. Not only that but their items are made of sustainable materials.
They have a wide variety of items including; shoes, bags, apparel, and jewelry! Their items are held at a ton of smaller boutiques or you can buy directly from their website.
Allbirds are so comfortable and lightweight. At the same time they are sleek and stylish! Not to mention they are machine washable, making them a long-term investment.
Besides running shoes, they have boat shoes, running shoes, and just expanded to clothing! All of their items are made of sustainable materials and they even have a page dedicated to their production!
6. Marine Layer
I love their clothing. They give off a sort of Cali easy-going vibe. They sell Men’s and Women’s with most items being under $100. Not only this but they have a vintage shop but such cute items. Check frequently though because it sells out fast!
